2017 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Named second team All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference for the 9-3 USF Football Team that reached the postseason for a fourth straight year and third straight playoff appearance...key member of defense USF fielded one of the nation's best defenses in 2017, ranking in second total defense (244.3 yards per game), second in scoring defense (12.5 ppg), third in rushing yards per game (67.8 yards per game), seventh in first down defense (158) and ninth in sacks (3.33 per game, 40 total). USF led the NSIC in total defense, scoring defense, rushing defense, sacks, and second in first downs allowed. Dykstra registered 19 tackles, including eight solo solo stops, 2.5 tackles for loss and two quarterback hurries...selected as nominee to the Allstate and AFCA All Good Works Team for 2018, one of 169 nominated nationally...made starts in all 12 games...recorded a season-high four tackles, including a season-high two solo stops with a TFL and quarterback hurry in a 24-20 loss to No. 5 Midwestern State in the NCAA DII playoffs in Wichita Falls, Texas on Nov. 18...had three tackles against Concordia S. 2016 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE): Recorded 29 tackles, including 14 solo stops in 12 games for NSIC champs... key player for team that ranked second in the NSIC and 19th nationally in scoring defense (18.6 ppg), second in the league and 39th nationally in rushing defense (111.8 ypg), 12th nationally and second in the NSIC in interceptions and second in total defense (348.1 ypg), 16th nationally and fourth in the NSIC in team sacks (3.23 per game), while ranking 25th in DII in turnovers gained (27).. ...had six tackles for loss, pass breakup and two fumble recoveries...had two sacks...set career-high with seven tackles, including four solo stops vs. St. Cloud State (9/1)...also had 1.5 tackles for loss vs St. Cloud State...had sack vs Bemidji State (9/24)...had half sack vs Winona State (10/15) and Minnesota State (10/29)....had two tackles and a fumble recovery in 27-24 OT DII playoff loss to Harding...five times had three tackles or more in a game.
2015 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Appeared in six games… totaled nine tackles, four being solo and five assisted… also recorded three tackles for loss and one sack… career performance vs. Upper Iowa on Nov. 14 recording three solo tackles, one assisted tackle, two tackles for loss, and one sack.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-sport athlete at Boyden-Hull HS…competed in Football, Baseball, Wrestling and Track & Field for the Nighthawks…versatile athlete on the gridiron, suited up at times as linebacker, guard, tackle, quarterback, defensive end, wide receiver, fullback and halfback…Missota All-Conference 1st team honoree as a senior…also received the Nighthawks’ defensive MVP award...tabbed Mr. Hustle and Love of the Game awardee…Missota conference second team wrestler…also participated in choir and show choir.
