Biography

2009: Brown led USF to their second consecutive NAIA national championship and capped a perfect 15-0 season that gave the two-year starter a 29-0 career record as a Cougar. On his way to receiving the 2009 NAIA Player of the Year award, GPAC Offensive Player of the Year recognition and first team all-American honors, Brown threw for 3,221 yards and 40 touchdowns to only six interceptions. He completed 68% of his passes and led the NAIA with a 190.5 pass efficiency rating. On the ground Brown was the Cougar's second leading rusher with 844 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns, while averaging 6.0 yards per carry. The Bristol, Conn. native also recorded one reception and returned one punt for six yards. Brown, who led the NAIA with 56 total touchdowns, was recently named to College Fanz's NAIA all-decade team. 2008: Brown was the centerpiece of the powerful Cougar offense. He had the ability to pass the ball completing 59.5% of his passes and throwing 25 touchdowns while only throwing 7 interceptions. Not only was he good with his arm, his feet were just as good, if not better. He ran the ball for 785 yards on 150 carries and 14 touchdowns. Brown was third in the conference in all purpose yards, received 2nd team all-conference honors as a quarterback and 1st team all-American honors as an athlete... 2007: Transfer from North Iowa Area Community College, where he earned all-American honors...
