Previous Institution

Burks transferred to the University of Sioux Falls from Simpson College, where he recorded 10 pass breakups, 32 tackles, one forced fumble, four interceptions, two touchdowns, and 350 return yards.

High School

Burks graduated from Hazelwood East High School in St. Louis, Missouri, where he competed in football and track for the Spartans. He earned multiple honors, including three All-Conference selections at corner, two All-Conference selections at running back, an Honorable Mention at safety, and an All-American recognition as an athlete.

Burks is the son of La’Tasha Tabbs and has one sibling, Trevon Burks (17).
