2023-2024 (North Dakota)
In 2024, as a redshirt freshman, Owen saw action in 10 games on special teams and appeared in two games as a reserve linebacker. He recorded three total tackles, including his first collegiate tackle at Iowa State, his first solo tackle in the 52-28 win over Idaho State, and another solo tackle in the 72-35 win over Murray State. In 2023, he redshirted and did not appear in any games.
High School
Owen spent four seasons at linebacker at Lakeville South High School where he was named to the Second Team All-Metro twice and was a two-time All-District selection. In 2022, he recorded 103 tackles, four tackles for loss, one forced fumble, four interceptions, and one pick-six. Over his prep career, he tallied 161 total tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries, two forced fumbles, four interceptions, and two touchdowns. He helped lead the Cougars to State Championships in 2020 and 2021. Owen also competed in Olympic weightlifting and track & field at Lakeville South.

Son of Chad and Tarra McCloud. Sibling to Brady, Cooper, and Dahsen.
