He competed in football for the Harrisburg Tigers, earning All-Conference and All-State honors as a linebacker. During his high school career, Just recorded 126 tackles, four sacks, 16 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble.

He is the son of Gwendy and Shawn Just and has three siblings: Jacob, Olivia, and Sophia.
