CAREER:  Twice named to Academic All-NSIC Team...has three career tackles and played in both the 2016 and 2017 seasons when the Cougars won combined 21 games, made two consecutive playoff appearances and won an NSIC title (2016).

2017: Hard-hitting  linebacker who played for the 9-3 USF Football Team that reached the postseason for a fourth straight year and third straight playoff appearance...key member of defense as USF fielded one of the nation's best defenses in 2017, ranking second in DII in total defense (244.3 yards per game), second in scoring defense (12.5 ppg), third nationally  in rushing yards per game (67.8 yards per game), seventh in first downs defense (158) and ninth in sacks (3.33 per game, 40 total)...appeared in one game for USF vs Minnesota Crookston on Sept. 23...named to Academic All-NSIC squad for the second time..

2016: Named NSIC All-Academic Team...recorded three tackles, including solo stop against Upper Iowa(11/5)...played in one game... contributor on defense that ranked second in the NSIC and 19th nationally in scoring defense (18.6 ppg), second in the league and 39th nationally in rushing defense (111.8 ypg), 12th nationally and second in the NSIC in interceptions and second in total defense (348.1 ypg), 16th nationally and fourth in the NSIC in team sacks (3.23 per game), while ranking 25th in DII in turnovers gained (27)..

2015: Joined the USF Football Team after transferring from S.D. Tech.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played tight end and defensive end for Dan Aaker at Winner H.S....helped lead Warriors to the state title and unbeaten record of 12-0 in 2012...member of team that defeated Tri-Valley, 13-6, in 11B title game in 2012...in senior season, caught two passes for 21 yards and a TD...on defense, recorded 44 tackles, including 21 solo stops with two sacks and 9.5 tackles for loss...named all conference and academic all-state while at Winner HS...also played baseball, and basketball as well as ran track for the Warriors...was nameber of the High Honor Roll and National Honor Society.

 PERSONAL: Son of Rod and Dawn Drey...has sister Sierra and brother Seth.
