Completed 94-of-152 passes for 1,478 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 211.1 passing yards per game and 15.7 yards per completion. Added 43 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, accounting for 17 total touchdowns in his collegiate career. Earned three USF Athlete of the Week honors during his breakout 2025 season, including NSIC Offensive Player of the Week recognition.

Played in seven games for the Cougars at quarterback, emerging as a dynamic offensive leader in his first season of action. Completed 94-of-152 passes for 1,478 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging 211.1 passing yards per game with a long completion of 85 yards. Added 30 rushing attempts for 43 yards and four touchdowns on the ground, accounting for 17 total touchdowns on the season. Earned three USF Athlete of the Week honors, including NSIC Offensive Player of the Week recognition.

High School
Standout three-sport athlete at Lincoln High School, competing in football, track & field, and baseball. A two-time All-State selection who also earned Elite 45 Team and All-American honors. Named the Joe Robbie MVP of the South Dakota State Class AAA Championship Game. Finished his prep career holding multiple school and Class 11AAA records, including 3,108 passing yards in a single season, 8,102 career passing yards, 618 career completions (state record), 42 single-season touchdown passes, and 97 career touchdown passes.

Son of Val and Travis Schafer. Has two siblings, Ty and Brody.
