Biography

CAREER - Two-time Academic All-NSIC selection...accumulated 17 career tackles with eight solo stops..has had at least one tackle in a game 12 times...during career, part of an NSIC champ with a 12-1 record - 11-0 in the NSIC - in 2016 when USF was 1-1 in playoffs; playoff team in 2017 as Cougars finished 9-3 and 7-4 team in 2018 for overall mark of 28-7.

2018 - Key member of defense that ranked 21st in DII and third in the NSIC in scoring defense (19.0 ppg), 32nd in DII and sixth in the NSIC in rushing defense (120.2 ypg), 54th in DII and four in the NSIC in total defense (339.8 ypg)...helped lead USF to a 7-4 record...had seven tackles with two solo stops, pass breakup and pass defended in 10 games...named to the Academic All-NSIC team for second straight year...had season-high of two tackles against No. 1  Minnesota State and at Bemidji State...recorded a tackle in six games.

2017: Named Academic All-NSIC...Played in nine games for the 9-3 USF Football Team that reached the postseason for a fourth straight year with a third straight playoff appearance...key member of defense as USF fielded one of the nation's best defenses in 2017, ranking second  nationally in total defense (244.3 yards per game), second in scoring defense (12.5 ppg), third in DII in rushing yards per game (67.8 yards per game), seventh in first downs defense (158) and ninth in sacks (3.33 per game, 40 total)...recorded 10 tackles, including six solo stops...had one tackle for loss....recorded forced fumble vs U-Mary while recording career-high three tackles on Sept. 16...had tackles in six different games with at least two stops three times...recorded two tackles against Minnesota Crookston on Sept. 23 and in the "Key to the City" win over rival Augustana on Oct. 28 at Bob Young Field.

HIGH SCHOOL: Standout defensive lineman (nose tackle, tackle) at Minnetonka HS....started 19 games in a two-year varsity career for Minnesota Hall of Fame head coach Dave Nelson...had 68 tackles, including 25 solo stops, two quarterback sacks, five quarterback hurries, two pass breakups, pass defended, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries. During career...as a senior, recorded 39 tackles (18 solo), a sack, fumble recovery, two pass breakups....recorded 29 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles and two fumble recovery as a junior...three-year strength team captain...was an honorable mention Lake Conference selection....also participated in Track (shot put, discus)... four-year Honor Roll student, and named to the Minnesota All-Academic Gold Team in 6A Football...chosen to participate in a professional college prep program in health and exercise science as a senior.
