High School: Starred at Pierre Riggs HS for coach Jayson Poppinga as wide receiver, strong safety, outside linebacker and defensive end…played on 2013 ESD and SD AA state champions…member of 2015 ESD champions and state runner-up…invited to the S.D. All Star Game…in nine games, caught 36 passes for 408 yards and four TDs…had 45 tackles, 21 solo stops, and three interceptions…

Personal: involved in Governor 2 Governor Mentoring Program (seniors to freshman)…served as YMCA Youth Coach…volunteer of “Feed my Starving Child” program… plans to major in education/coaching…son of Daniel and Michelle Strand…has a brother Joshua and sister Olivia.
