2016: Made 12 starts for NSIC champions, missing just the Concordia-St. Paul matchup...key player for team that ranked second in the NSIC and 19th nationally in scoring defense (18.6 ppg), second in the league and 39th nationally in rushing defense (111.8 ypg), 12th nationally and second in the NSIC in interceptions and second in total defense (348.1 ypg), 16th nationally and fourth in the NSIC in team sacks (3.23 per game), while ranking 25th in DII in turnovers gained (27)... had 23 tackles, including 13 solo stops...recorded 4.5 tackles for loss for -12 yards...had two sacks for -3 yards...tied his career-high with five tackles, including two solo stops and a tackle for loss of four yards in "Key to the City" win over Augustana (10/1)...had three solo stops, career-best, in win over #22 Bemidji State (9/24)...also had three tackles in wins over Minnesota State Moorhead (9/10) and St. Cloud State (9/1)...had pass breakup in win over Wayne State (11/12)...recorded sack vs. SMSU (10/8) and half-sacks against SCSU and Minnesota State Moorhead...had tackles for loss against Bemidji State, Augustana and SMSU with half TFL against SCSU, Minnesota State Moorhead and Minot State...had a tackles in playoff win over #24 Azusa Pacific (11/19)...had two tackles, including a solo stop, in second round DII playoff overtime loss to #5 Harding.

2015 (SOPHOMORE): played in 11 games… totaled 19 tackles… six solo and 13 assisted… 3.0 tackles for loss… had a career best five tackles vs Wayne St. on Oct. 3… also recorded four tackles vs. Southwest Minnesota State on Oct. 17 and vs. Concordia St. Paul on Oct. 31…

2014 (FRESHMAN): Played in three games...recording seven tackles, including four solo stops  and two TFLs as a defensive tackle...had four tackles, two solo stops and two tackles for loss at Bemidji State...also had two tackles in win over MSU Moorhead and a tackle in the home win over Minot State in the opener.

HIGH SCHOOL: attended the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School during the fall 2013 academic semester…helped Desert Vista (Ariz.) to a 9-3 record, a No. 6 state ranking and to the second round of the state playoffs as a senior... logged 23 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks (loss of two yards), two quarterback hurries and forced two fumbles on his way to 2012 AZ Central American Family Insurance Division I honorable mention all-state honors…notched 25 tackles, one tackle for loss and one sack (loss of 10 yards) as a junior…the Desert Vista Thunder defeated Hamilton 45-19 to win the 2011 AIA Division I high school state football championship…named Division I Section III “South” First Team Offense and Second Team Defense…honorable mention all state selection and the 2011 Desert Vista HS Student Athlete of the Year…two-time all region selection who also competed in wrestling and track & field for the Thunder…high school teammate of USF sophomore quarterback Matt Young.
 
PERSONAL: Son of Rick Tamburo and Laura Humphrey… has four siblings, Riggs, Reese, Tagger and Mia…sports management major…professional goal is to become an athletic director.
