Kevin Fopma

Kevin Fopma enters his first season as a graduate assistant for the University of Sioux Falls men’s basketball team. Fopma was previously an assistant coach at Saint Xavier University, where he recruited high school and junior college student athletes into the program.

In his only season at Saint Xavier (Chicago), the cougars boasted a 20-11 overall record with a conference record of 13-6.  Fopma has developed strong recruiting relationships in Colorado, Iowa, and the Chicago area.

Prior to Saint Xavier, Fopma was an Assistant Boys Golf Coach at Chicago Christian High School from 2012-2015. He also was the Head Sophomore Boys Basketball Coach at Chicago Christian High School from 2012-2014.

Fopma has coached at several camps, such as, Chicago Christian Knight Hoops, Creighton University Summer Basketball Camp, Duke University Summer Basketball Camp, United States Air Force Academy Overnight Basketball Camp, Western Christian High Basketball Camp, and Dordt College Summer Basketball Camp.

Along with coaching, Fopma possesses experience in teaching. He has taught health, physical education, strength training, and western civilization at Chicago Christian High School.

Fopma graduated from Dordt College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education: Social Science and Coaching Endorsement. During his time at Dordt College, he was an assistant men’s JV basketball coach and a student-assistant men’s basketball coach.
