Biography
CAREER: At the time of graduation, the two-time All-Region athlete held 18 USF Baseball records including homeruns (28), games played (193), runs batted in (160), triples (10), doubles (52), hits (263), at-bats (719), games started (191) and stolen bases (43). Rehwaldt was also a two-time NSIC selection and held top-10 records throughout the conference in eight offensive categories, including sixth in hitting at .388; fourth in slugging (.631), on-base percentage (.459), hits (62), sixth in doubles (13) and home runs (8) and eighth in RBIs (38) in 2018...has a career average of .366, which ranks best among USF players in the DII era...has 78 career multi-hit games which includes 28 with three hits or better...recorded 41 multi-RBI games with 18 of three RBIs or more. In 2017, he was USF's first-ever NCAA DII all-region player with his selection to the 2017 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) DII squad...in 2019 preseason, named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Preseason All-Region Team.
2019 (SENIOR): Finished in the NSIC's top-10 in 5 different categories, including eighth in slugging (.594), eighth in on-base + slugging (1.031), tied for second in triples with 5, sixth in homeruns (10), and fifth in stolen bases with 21...had a season batting average of .337, which led USF...he also led the Cougars in runs scored (38), hits (58), triples (5), homeruns (10), RBI (35), total bases with 101, on-base percentage (.438), and tied for the team lead in at-bats with 172...had a season high 4 hits in a single game 2 different times...had 3 games with a season high 2 homeruns...had 3 games with a season high 3 stolen bases
2018 (JUNIOR): Named All-NSIC for a second straight year...finished in the NSIC's top-10 in eight offensive categories, including sixth in hitting (.388); fourth in slugging (.631), on-base percentage (.459), hits (62), sixth in doubles (13) and home runs (eight) and eighth in RBIs (38)...had a team-high 101 total bases...walked 22 times and was passed intentionally five times...had seven steals in 11 attempts...defensively had a .995 fielding percentage with 392 putouts and 15 assists...had a season-best five hits in six attempts with three runs scored against Colorado School of Mines on March 13...recorded a season-best five RBI against Winona State on March 22...registered two home runs and four RBI in a game against U-Mary on April 18.
2017 (SOPHOMORE): USF's first-ever NCAA DII all-region player with his selection to the 2017 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) DII squad... named first team All-NSIC at first base...finished the year ranking in the top-10 in nine NSIC hitting categories...had six home runs....finished fourth in NSIC in batting average at .379, second in hits with 74 and doubles with 17...led the NSIC in at bats with 195, was third in triples with four, fourth in RBI with 49, seventh in runs scored with 45, ninth in slugging percentage at .600, and 10th in stolen bases with 12 in 14 attempts...hit .432 (32-of-74) with runners in scoring position...was 11-of-16 for .688 with runner on third and two out...hit .365 (27-of-74) with two out...had team-best 13 two-out RBI...recorded 26 multi hit games...had 11 multi RBI games including career best six RBI against Bemidji State on April 2...seven times had three hits in a game...had a career-best 16-game hitting streak from April 1-19...was 26-of-57 for .456 during streak.
2016 (FRESHMAN): Made 48 starts in 50 appearances… recorded a .367 batting average… totaled 41 runs, 72 hits, 41 RBI, and four home runs… hit 17 doubles and one triple, and 103 total bases…stole five bases… had 21 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games… recorded eight games of three hits or more with a season best five hits vs. Bemidji St. on Apr. 16… recorded six games of three or more RBIs with a season high of four vs. Upper Iowa on Apr. 13… had a 12-game hit streak… totaled 352 putouts, eight assists, and a .979 fielding percentage… .385 on base percentage, .526 slugging percentage… home runs vs. Mary on Mar. 24, Upper Iowa on Apr. 13, vs. Bemidji St. on Apr. 16, and vs. Minnesota St. Mankato on May 7.
HIGH SCHOOL: Starred at Apple Valley (Minn.) High School where he played both baseball and football. At Apple Valley High School in 2013, hit .403 with a .458 on base percentage and a .458 slugging percentage...had a remarkable feat of hurling back-to-back no-hitters for the junior varsity team...In American Legion ball in 2013, hit .393 with a .607 slugging percentage and knocked in 36 runs for Apple Valley...on the mound, was 3-1 with a 2.07 ERA in 27 innings... In 2014, hit .297 with a .356 slugging percentage with 35 hits and 25 RBI in legion ball.
