Career
A proven veteran and one of the Cougars’ most consistent perimeter threats, Kyle Ingwerson has appeared in 86 collegiate games with 59 starts across three seasons, totaling 2,343 minutes while averaging 27.2 minutes per contest. He has scored 941 career points at a 10.9 points-per-game clip while shooting 40.0 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three-point range, knocking down 199 career three-pointers. Ingwerson has also totaled 381 rebounds, 111 assists, 50 steals, and 38 blocks, cementing himself as one of the program’s most dependable two-way contributors.
2025-26 (Redshirt Junior)
Ingwerson turned in the strongest season of his collegiate career, appearing in 29 games with 27 starts while averaging 13.6 points and 5.0 rebounds per game. He led the Cougars in scoring for much of the season and remained one of the NSIC’s top perimeter shooters, knocking down 80 three-pointers at a 38.8 percent clip while shooting 77.8 percent from the free-throw line. He also contributed 59 assists, 22 steals, and 13 blocks in an all-around breakout campaign.
He delivered several standout performances throughout the year, including a career-high 27 points at Concordia-St. Paul, a 24-point outing against Peru State, and a 22-point performance against Concordia-St. Paul fueled by six made three-pointers. Ingwerson posted multiple double-digit rebounding efforts, including a season-high 12 boards at Bemidji State, while continuing to impact both ends of the floor with his length and defensive versatility.
For his efforts, Ingwerson earned NSIC Second Team All-Conference honors and was recognized as a Dave & Buster’s USF Athlete of the Week.
2024-25 (Redshirt Sophomore)
In his redshirt sophomore season, Ingwerson played in 28 games with 25 starts, totaling 804 minutes while averaging 28.7 minutes per game. He scored 309 points (11.0 per game) while shooting 41.0 percent from the field and leading the team with 69 made three-pointers at a 38.3 percent clip. He also averaged 4.6 rebounds per game while adding 29 assists, 12 blocks, and 18 steals. His career-high at the time came in a 23-point performance against UMary, where he knocked down seven three-pointers. He also earned NABC Academic Honors.
2023-24 (Redshirt Freshman)
During his redshirt freshman season, Ingwerson appeared in 29 games with seven starts, averaging 21.4 minutes per game. He scored 238 points (8.2 per game), knocked down 50 three-pointers, and added 106 rebounds, 23 assists, 13 blocks, and 10 steals while establishing himself as a key rotational contributor.
2022-23 (Redshirt Season)
Ingwerson redshirted during his first season with the program.
