Alivia Forshey - USF Softball Assistant Coach 2021

Alivia Forshey

Alivia Forshey is in her first season as assistant softball coach at the University of Sioux Falls.

Forshey, a former three-time NFCA Scholar Athlete as an infielder at Bowling Green University, joins USF after serving as graduate manager for softball at North Dakota State University for two seasons.
 
While Forshey was a member of the NDSU staff, the Bison won 23 games, which included the shortened 2020 season. In her time at NDSU, five players were named to the Summit League Academic All-League Team, two on the CoSIDA Academic All-District Softball Team, and one to the Summit League Softball All-Tournament Team.
 
Originally of Canton, Ohio, Forshey played collegiate softball at Bowling Green where she was an infielder. At BGU, she was also a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma, and the National College Athlete Honor Society.
 
As a prep standout, she set the Canton South High School record for RBIs and slugging percentage. Her coaching resume includes working camps at Total Sports Complex, Bowling Green, Canton South HS, CCSC camps, and various college camps.  
 
Forshey joins a USF Softball Team, which finished the regular season, 23-24, with a 15-14 mark in the NSIC. In the NSIC Postseason Tourney, the Cougars finished 2-2 with both losses by just a single run.
