Allison Rutherford enters her first season with the USF softball program after spending time at Augustana College and the University of South Dakota.
Rutherford graduated from Augustana College in 2009 with a degree in Physical Education and K-12 Education. She also was a first-team All-North Central Conference player in 2006, 2008 and 2009 while playing Outfield and Short Stop for the Vikings. Rutherford was also a three-time captain in her time at Augustana.
After graduating from Augustana, Rutherford attended the University of South Dakota where she earned her Master’s Degree in Kinesiology and Sports Science. While attending USD, she also was an assistant coach for the softball team for two seasons.
In addition to her coaching duties, Rutherford also teaches physical education in the Sioux Falls school district.
