High School
Wachal graduated from Jackson County Central High School in Jackson, Minnesota, where she competed in volleyball, softball, and basketball. She earned National Honor Society recognition, three Academic Letter Awards, and three years on the A Honor Roll. Her softball honors included Honorable Mention All-Conference as an eighth grader, All-Conference selections in her freshman, sophomore, and junior seasons, and MFCA All-Section honors in both her sophomore and junior years. She set multiple program marks, including lowest opponent batting average, most wins as a pitcher, most strikeouts in a season, and most strikeouts in a game with 20. She also earned varsity letters in volleyball and softball and was a three-year nominee for Breakdown Sports. She played club softball for Minnesota Misfits 18U.

She is the daughter of Kip and Heather Wachal and has one sibling, Madisyn. Her major is Speech/Language Pathology.
