Career
A productive transfer addition for the Cougars, Brady Schafer made an immediate impact in his first season at Sioux Falls after a standout junior college career at Dakota County Technical College. Known for his power at the plate, Schafer has quickly established himself as a key offensive contributor.
2026 (Junior)
Schafer started 47 of 48 games for the Cougars in his first season at USF, batting .280 with 47 hits, 11 doubles, nine home runs, 38 RBIs, and 32 runs scored while posting a .506 slugging percentage and .374 on-base percentage. He recorded 20 walks, reached base via hit-by-pitch nine times, and added a stolen base. Defensively, he posted a .953 fielding percentage. Season highs included a four-hit performance against Bemidji State, three RBI against Bemidji State, and a home run against Augustana.
Dakota County Technical College
Schafer earned All-Region honors during his time at Dakota County Technical College while batting .320 with 10 home runs and 43 RBIs, establishing himself as one of the program’s top offensive threats.
High School
Schafer was a multi-sport athlete at the prep level, competing in both baseball and basketball. On the diamond, he earned All-Conference honors while batting .340 with three home runs during his high school career.
