Career
A versatile athlete out of Luverne High School, Carter Sehr joined the Cougar program as a two-way talent with potential both on the mound and in the outfield. In his first collegiate season, he quickly established himself as a dependable arm in the pitching staff, showing poise in both starting and relief roles.
2026 (Freshman)
Sehr appeared in 10 games with four starts on the mound, finishing with a 3-2 record and a 5.14 ERA across 28.0 innings. He struck out 18 batters while holding opponents to a .264 batting average. His top outing came in a six-inning win over Southwest Minnesota State, allowing just two runs, while he also recorded five strikeouts in a strong outing against Jamestown. Sehr added quality appearances against St. Cloud State, Florida Tech, and Minnesota Duluth while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
High School
A standout multi-sport athlete at Luverne High School, Sehr competed in baseball, basketball, and football for the Cardinals. He earned Academic All-State honors and was recognized with All-Conference, All-Area, and All-Tournament Team accolades, while also earning an All-Star Game nomination. As a senior, he posted dominant two-way numbers, hitting .512 with 43 hits, 21 doubles, and six triples, while compiling a 0.997 ERA with 52 strikeouts across 43 innings pitched. He also competed with the Luverne Redbirds club program.
