Wade Adamson is in his fifth season as a volunteer assistant coach for the University of Sioux Falls Women's Basketball team.

Wade Adamson completed his fourth season as a volunteer assistant coach in 2026, bringing valuable veteran experience to the Cougars' 13-16 campaign (10-12 NSIC). He helped mentor Anna Vaaler to First-Team All-NSIC honors and Krista Langager to the NSIC Freshman of the Year and Second-Team accolades. Adamson also supported the program's strong academic showing, which included nine NSIC Team of Excellence selections, four CSC Academic All-District awards, and a CorTrust Scholar-Athlete designation for Kami Wadsworth.

 
Adamson has significant coaching experience including 14 years as a varsity girls basketball assistant coach at Willmar High School in Willmar, Minnesota. He was a part of six conference championships and six runner-up titles while also directing Wilmar to two section championships, five runner-up honors and two state tournament appearances. He was also an assistant boys basketball coach for 12 years while at Willmar.

Originally from Willmar, Minnesota, Adamson graduated from South Dakota State University with a bachelors in physical education.

Wade has three grown children, including Alison, Wade, Jr. and Austin along with three grandchildren - Harper, Nora and Kara.
