Career
One of the most impactful newcomers in program history, Krista Langager made an immediate splash in her first collegiate season, earning NSIC Freshman of the Year honors, Second Team All-NSIC recognition, and multiple weekly awards after establishing herself as one of the league’s most dominant interior players.
2025-26 (Freshman)
Langager delivered a sensational freshman campaign, starting all 29 games while averaging 25.5 minutes per contest. She led the Cougars with 16.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while shooting a remarkable 61.2 percent from the field, one of the most efficient marks in the conference. She totaled 469 points, 202 rebounds, 27 blocks, and 16 steals while earning four NSIC Athlete of the Week honors.
Her offensive consistency was exceptional, reaching double figures in 24 games while posting 11 performances of 20 or more points. Langager exploded for a season-high 30 points and 14 rebounds in a dominant road win at Southwest Minnesota State, shooting 14-of-17 from the field. She also scored 28 points against Winona State, 26 against Concordia-St. Paul, and multiple 25-point outings against Southwest Minnesota State and Northern State.
Langager quickly became one of the NSIC’s most difficult post matchups, combining elite efficiency with physical rebounding and rim protection. She shot better than 80 percent from the field in five different games, including a 12-of-14 effort against Concordia-St. Paul and a 14-of-18 performance against Winona State. Defensively, she recorded four blocks at Concordia-St. Paul and finished with 27 rejections on the year.
Her historic debut season earned her NSIC Freshman of the Year honors, Second Team All-Conference recognition, and established her as a foundational piece of the Cougars’ future.
