2007-2008: Played at Northern State in Aberdeen; as a freshman this past season, Gacke saw action in 14 games and made three starts for the Wolves, who finished with a 12-16 overall record. Gacke pulled down 32 rebounds on the year, averaging 2.3 per game, and shot 41.9 percent from the field. On Jan. 26, in an 80-59 loss at Upper Iowa, she had a career night, scoring 10 points and grabbing five rebounds.

High School: At Luverne High School, Gacke was a four-time basketball letter winner, was named to the all-conference team twice, and earned all-state honorable mention. During her senior season, she averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per game, and served as the team captain. She also played tennis, lettering five times.
