Biography
2013-14 (SOPHOMORE): Started in each of the 29 games in her first season with the Cougars averaging 14.8 points per game which was the second most on the team…notched 56 steals during the season which is the third most by a Cougar player in school history…also made her mark by averaging 4.8 rebounds and a team-high 2.4 assists …scored 20 or more points for USF in five games, including a career-high 22 points in a victory over Upper Iowa…recorded her lone double-double of the season by scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in a Cougar victory over Southwest Minnesota State…ended the season shooting 40.6% from the field and 35.6% from behind the arc.
2012-13 (FRESHMAN): Competed at Colorado State where she started five games for the Rams…saw action in 22 games for CSU…tallied her first career double-double with a career high 19 points and 10 rebounds against Montana State…scored in double figures for the Rams against Montana State and South Dakota Mines and Technology…Averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
HIGH SCHOOL: Prepped at Marshfield HS where she ended her high school career as the Marshfield leading scorer with 1,364 points… averaged team high 18.1 points per game and 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest as a senior...named all-state her sophomore, junior and senior seasons... named Wisconsin Valley Conference's Player of the Year in 2010-11 and 2011-12... voted team MVP junior and senior year...voted team captain in 2010-11 and 2011-12... also named team captain in tennis, earning 2010-11 MVP vote.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Gary and Kay Varsho…born April 12, 1994 in Marshfield, Wisc…Father, Gary played baseball at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1982...he spent 14 years playing in the MLB and later coached until 2010... Older sister, Andie, plays softball at Purdue... Has younger brother, Daulton...majoring in elementary education at USF.
