Gabe Wortman

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Gabe Wortman enters his fifth season as an assistant coach with the University of Sioux Falls women's soccer program.

Wortman completed his fourth season with the Cougars in 2026, helping guide USF to one of the best seasons in program history. The Cougars posted a program-record six victories at the NCAA Division II level while setting new school records for goals scored, points, points per game, and shutouts. Defensively, USF limited opponents to the fewest shots, shots on goal, and goals allowed in program history. Wortman played a key role in the development of the team's defensive unit and goalkeepers while helping mentor Second Team All-NSIC selection Addison Van Zee, goalkeeper Morgan Jost, who tied the program record for wins and shutouts in a season, and Lily Dahler, who tied the school record for assists in a season.

Outside of USF, Wortman serves as the Academy and Goalkeeping Director for Dakota Alliance Soccer Club, where he oversees goalkeeper development and academy programming.
