Biography

2011 (JUNIOR): Made a big splash in her first year wearing a Cougars jersey...appeared in every match (152 sets)...team leader in digs (460) and stood second on the team in kills (417) and service aces (30), averaged 2.74 kills per set and 0.2 service aces per set...tallied 58 blocks and 27 set assists...her 417 kills is the seventh-highest single season total in school history and 460 digs put her 12th on the single-season charts. Recorded double-digit kills in 21 outings, double-digit digs in 24 matches and double-doubles on 17 occasions. including five double-doubles in a seven match/two week stretch. Posted a career-high in points (24.0) and kills (23) in Cougars' five-set loss to Graceland (10/22), made a season-best 24 digs in four-set season ending victory over William Jewell (11/12)...recorded a .400 or better attack percentage three times; .500 vs. Culver (9/17), .444 vs. Mount Marty (10/10) and .448 vs. William Jewell (11/10)...named to the Locos Grill All-Tournament Team...received 2011-12 student-athlete all academic award.

2009-2010 (FRESHMAN & SOPHOMORE): Played for two seasons at Kirkwood Community College... recorded 400 kills and 454 digs her sophomore campaign... finished her junior college career with 977 kills (3.26 per set) and 978 digs (3.26 per set)... garnered first team NJCAA All-American accolades as a sophomore and second-team as a freshman...also a first team all-region, ICCAC first team all-conference and ICCAC Athlete of the Week honoree...honored as the Eagles' Freshman of the Year and Sophomore of the Year...named to the ICCAC's academic first team and a member of the Dean's List.

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Cascade High School (Iowa)...earned four varsity volleyball letters and all-conference honors as a senior (first team) and junior (second team)...3-time team MVP...also competed in basketball, softball and track...named all-conference and to the all-state basketball tournament squad.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Rick and Cheila Goedken...has two brothers, Kyle and Travis, and a sister, Chelsea...business administration major, entrepreneurial studies minor...professional goal is to work in agricultural business...grew up on a farm.
