Freshman Notch Both Goals in Men's Soccer Win over Tabor College

Two University of Sioux Falls freshmen, Lance Norling (Simi Valley, Calif.) and Jared Dean (Roanoke, Texas), scored both Cougar goals in a 2-1 win over Tabor College (0-1-0) in Hillsboro, Kan. today.

The match was gridlocked for 68 scoreless minutes, when Norling took a Ryan Keohane (So.; Rapid City, S.D.) pass to the net for his first collegiate goal. With a 1-0 lead, Tabor College forward Robert Masson followed suit, tying the game up three minutes later at 1-1.

With just a minute and half left in the regular period, Dean scored on an unassisted goal to give USF (2-1 overall) its second win of the young season. It was Dean's first collegiate goal as well.
Junior Adam Wemhoff (Grand Island, Neb.) earned his second career win in the goal today, allowing one goal on eight shots and making three saves.

USF will be back in action tomorrow, Sept. 4 at McPherson College (0-0-1) in McPherson, Kan.
