USF Soccer Continues Academic Momentum with Six All-District Picks

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Six members of the University of Sioux Falls Women's Soccer program have been named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, honoring excellence both in athletic performance and academic achievement.

To be eligible, student-athletes must hold a 3.50 cumulative GPA, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and participate in 90 percent of team matches or start at least 66 percent. Each of the six Cougars met or surpassed these standards.


Lily Dahler – Sophomore Midfielder – Sioux Falls, S.D. – Exercise Science

Dahler appeared in 17 matches with 11 starts, recording three assists to tie for the team lead. She added five shots on goal and logged 771 minutes while providing steady two-way play in the midfield.

Abby Flanagan – Sophomore Defender – Harrisburg, S.D. – Biology

Flanagan started all 18 matches and played 1,534 minutes, ranking among USF's top minute-getters. She contributed two assists and five shots on goal while anchoring a defensive unit that secured four shutouts.

Mara Nelson – Junior Defender – Brandon, S.D. – Business Administration & Media Studies

Nelson started all 18 matches and led the team with 1,554 minutes. She added an assist and finished with a perfect 1.000 shots-on-goal percentage, serving as one of the team's most consistent defenders.

Elise Secrest – Junior Defender – Omaha, Neb. – Exercise Science

Secrest appeared in 17 matches with 12 starts, totaling 998 minutes. She helped the Cougars limit opponents to just 87 shots on goal across the season while contributing to four clean sheets.

Mariah Siem – Junior Midfielder – Sioux Falls, S.D. – Business Administration

Siem started all 17 matches she played, finishing with two goals and one assist for five points. She ranked third on the team in shots with 33 and added 18 shots on goal, providing consistent attacking pressure.

Alivia Tindall – Senior Defender – Nampa, Idaho – Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Tindall made 17 appearances with 11 starts, logging 1,084 minutes. She provided senior leadership to a defensive group that produced four shutouts, including three at home.
