SIOUX FALLS -- The University of Sioux Falls Swimming Team has jumped up to No. 11 and earned its highest ranking in school history in the CSCAA/TYR Top 25 Division II Poll, which was released Thursday (Nov. 14). In addition, USF is the highest ranked program from the NSIC.

Queens University of Charlotte was voted No. 1 followed by UC San Diego at No. 2 and Indianapolis at No. 3. With 86 ballot points (up from 76), USF. which is tied at No. 11 with Northern Michigan, was just behind Lindenwood at 90 points for a spot in the top 10. USF's previous high ranking of No. 14 occurred on Oct. 15, 2019. Prior to that USF was No. 18 on Nov. 14, 2018. 

USF, which is directed by second-year head coach Chris Hamstra, has opened the season with significant success, which includes a 7-0 dual mark. USF has had three NSIC Swimmers of the Week in Ella Johnson twice and Jenna Krahn once.

The poll measures the top teams in head-to-head competition. The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and the next poll will be Jan. 14, 2020.
