USF Tennis HC Kevin Grebin announces signing of Brianna Holm to 2021 recruiting class

SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls Head Tennis Coach Kevin Grebin has announced the signing of Brianna Holm of Alexandria, Minn., who will continue her academic and athletic career at USF. The NCAA recruiting signing period opened on Wednesday, Nov. 11, which allowed student-athletes to sign with their respective programs. She joins Ella Schmidt of Eden Prairie in the 2021 signing class.

"We are glad to add Brianna (Holm) to our squad as she is a talented student-athlete who has had a lot of success in tennis," said Grebin, whose team was 8-5 in 2020 before CoVID-19 ended the season. "Brianna is a motivated with a lot of energy and upbeat attitude who will step in and contribute to the success of our team," he said.

The daughter of Nancy Holm and Doug Holm, Holm played softball and tennis at Alexandria Area High School. During her career, she played No. 1 and No. 3 singles and No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. A shortstop in softball, Holm accumulated a career tennis record of 68-50 which included a 7-5 mark as a senior. In addition, she was 16-11 as a sophomore and 17-13 as a junior.  Holm has earned All-Central Lakes Conference honors at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.

At Alexandria Area High School, she was involved in the DECA business program; concert choir; Sunday School teacher, and was on the video tech team for online services. She was also a tennis mentor/coach to the Parkers Prairie team, and conducted social media/communications for the Lakes Area Tennis Association.
She will be a sophomore at USF after spending a year ago Alexandria Technical and Community College (PSEO). At ATCC, she had a 3.8 grade point average and made the Honor Roll.

Holm is active in community service including volunteering at Life Connections with communication, social media, and advertising. She leads the youth worship band at her church.

Holm, who has two siblings – Brittany and Brendan – will major in business administration (marketing) at USF.
