SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls women's tennis team has officially qualified for the 2026 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Tournament, earning the No. 3 seed as the league announced its postseason bracket following the conclusion of the regular season.
The six-team, single-elimination tournament will be held April 24-26 at Huether Family Match Pointe in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. With the top two seeds receiving first-round byes, the Cougars will open tournament play in the quarterfinal round on Friday afternoon.
USF (8-10, 7-3 NSIC) will face No. 6 seed Bemidji State on Friday at 4:30 p.m. The Cougars secured the No. 3 seed after earning a key head-to-head victory over Minnesota Crookston during the regular season.
This year marks the eighth consecutive NSIC Tournament appearance for the Cougars, continuing a strong stretch of consistency within the conference. USF is coming off its highest finish in program history at the event, placing third during the 2025 tournament.
The winner of Friday's matchup will advance to the semifinal round on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., taking on No. 2 seed Minnesota State, who received a first-round bye. The tournament championship match is scheduled for Sunday at 10 a.m.
Augustana enters the tournament as the top seed after claiming its 16th consecutive NSIC regular season championship. The Vikings have won 14 straight NSIC Tournament titles and will await the winner of the (4) Minnesota Crookston vs. (5) University of Mary quarterfinal matchup.
All matches throughout the weekend will be played at Huether Family Match Pointe, with start times subject to change but not beginning earlier than scheduled.
The Cougars enter postseason play after a strong conference campaign, finishing 7-3 in NSIC action and positioning themselves for a competitive run on their home courts.

(1) Augustana vs. UMC/Mary winner – 1:30 p.m.
(2) Minnesota State vs. USF/BSU winner – 4:30 p.m.
Sunday, April 26 (Championship)
Semifinal winners – 10 a.m.
