SIOUX FALLS – In the eighth match of the season, the Sioux Falls Soccer Team, after 110 minutes and double overtime, came to a draw against Univ. of Minnesota Duluth in NSIC action on Friday night with a score of 0-0.
The Cougars and Bulldogs went into the half tied at zero after exchanging possessions, counter attacks, and both goal keepers staying busy in the first 45 minutes of action. UMD outshot the Cougars eight to two in the half but neither were able to capitalize on any scoring chances. The 2
nd half was much of the same with the Cougars ending the 2
ndhalf with four shots on goal to UMD's nine shots, neither team was able to get on the board after 90 minutes. During the overtime, UMD had three shots to USF's two shots and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Aundria Vargas (2), and
Alexis Naujokaitis,
Kassidy Graber,
Hannah Welch, and
Ivory Donald all had one shot during the match. As the defensive battle continued through the game, and where the goalkeeping has been the story of the USF season so far, Alexis Westoff saved 13 shots on the day. The Cougars goalkeeping unit improved their save percentage on the season to .883!
The Cougars will be back in action on Sunday, October 3 against St. Cloud State at 12 p.m.
