BURNSVILLE, MINN. – Inte Pas of the University of Sioux Falls Swimming Team, who had two individual wins and was part of a pair of top-three placing relays, has earned her second Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Swimmer of the Week honor in two weeks, according to an announcement today by the league office.

 

Pas, a freshman exercise science major from Nieuwerkerk aan den IJ, Netherlands, was also honored with the NSIC honor on Oct. 26. This past weekend, Pas, who already has 13 event wins (individual or relay) this year, had another outstanding performance at the Coyote Extravaganza, which included primarily area DI teams (South Dakota, SDSU, Northern, Iowa, St. Thomas) as well as DII Sioux Falls and St. Cloud State.

Pas recorded event wins in the 100 breast (1:05.11) and 200 breast (2:21.79) at the Coyote Extravaganza on Nov. 5-6. Both individual marks were not PRs but rank in the top-10 nationally and in the top two in the NSIC (Pas as the top mark in both). Her clocking in the 200 breast is ranked eighth in DII with a 2:21.79 (2:21.31, USF/Augustana/St. Cloud State double dual, Oct. 15-16) and is ninth in DII with her 1:05.11 in the 100 breast (1:04.50, USF/Augustana/St. Cloud State double dual, Oct. 15-16). She was part of the second-place 400 medley relay (Elizabeth Spaans, Domenica Solano, and Val Childs) which clocked a 3:54.61, which is the top mark in the NSIC. She was on the third-place 200 medley relay (Solano, Spaans, Ursula Demarquet) which clocked in at 1:49.72 and is third in the NSIC this year.

Next up - Pas and her USF Swimming teammates will compete at the Augustana Invite at the Midco Aquatic Center
