KANSAS CITY, MO. – With four players in the top 30, including a 14
th place result from
Brenden Bassing, the University of Sioux Falls Men's Golf Team is sixth in the team standings with a 25-over par 309 at the NSIC Preview Invitational which opened on a windy Monday at Shoal Creek Golf Club. The players competed in winds ranging from 25-to-35 miles per hour with gusts over 40 miles per hour.
USF is 11 shots out of first place as Central Missouri leads the tournament with a 14-over par 298. Arkansas Tech was second with a 19-over par 303 while Southern Arkansas and Missouri Western were tied for third with a 20-over par 304.The individual leader was Tom Bullington of Missouri Western at an even par 71.
Despite the conditions, the USF team played solid as Bassing led the way. He was tied for 14th with a five-over par 76 as he shot nine hole totals of 37 and 39. He had a birdie on the par four 14 and finished his round with 12 pars.

th with a six-over par 77 was sophomore
Gavin Metz, who had a team-best 13 pars with nine round totals of 36 and 41.
Seniors
Jacob Zosel and
JJ Cooney are tied for 29
th with first-round totals of 78. Cooney had nine round totals of 38 and 40 as he had a seven-over par round. He had a birdies on hole five and finished with 11 pars. Zosel was also at seven over par as he had a 78 with nine hole rounds of 35 (even par) and 43 while recording birdies on par five hole nine and par three hole 17 with nine pars.
Junior
Jack Evans was tied for 109
th with a 15-over par 86. He had a birdie on hole nine and eight pars. Junior
Hank Eggebraaten finished at 20-over par 71 with a 91. He recorded four pars.
