BURNSVILLE, MINN. – Eighty-eight University of Sioux Falls student-athletes have been named to the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Academic Team for the 2021 spring season, according to an announcement today from the league office.
The 88 student-athletes honored represents the second largest total during spring period in USF's DII era. In addition, USF also had a program-high 52 student-athletes (noted by *) named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence. With that total for the spring sports, USF had a total of 153 honored in 2019-20. In addition, USF has had 1,366 student-athletes named academic all-league since joining the league in 2012.
In an announcement on May 26, the NSIC unveiled the names of 943 student-athletes named Academic All-NSIC and another 577 selected to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence for GPAs of 3.6 or better.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.

Pam Gohl. "This past year has been a challenging time but our USF student-athletes have stepped up to excel at a high level in competition and the classroom while also fulfilling a mission in community service. We are exceptionally pleased with their dedication to their respective sports and their commitment to studies," she said.
