SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 nonconference decision to Rogers State on a neutral field in Omaha, Neb., on Sunday (Sept. 12).
The Hillcats struck early in the 9
th minute on the foot of Kori Watters which was the only goal put into the back of the net for either side in the first half of the match.
Rogers State would strike against at the 80' mark when Desiree Morgas scored putting the Cougars down 2-0. A little over a minute later, RSU's Sarah Ovalle scored to put the Hillcats up 3-0 where the score would go final. The Cougars, although unsuccessful in their attempts, had four corner kicks on the day and six shots on goal.
The Cougars fell to 0-3 on the season and will look to bounce back Friday Sept. 17
th in their first conference game of the season, on the road against Winona State University at 5 p.m.
