USF Swimming prepares for final test before NSIC Championship

Sioux Falls, SD – The University of Sioux Falls Swim team will enter the Coyote Invite this weekend, Jan 28 & 29. This will be the Cougars final meet before the NSIC Championship beginning on February 9th.
 
The University of South Dakota will host the Coyote Invite, a two-day event featuring men's and women's swimming and diving events between DI and DII teams at the Midco Aquatic Center. Day 1, Jan. 28th, will begin at 6pm and include the following events: 200 Freestyle Relay, 500 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 200 IM, 50 Freestyle, and 400 Medley Relay. Day 2 is comprised of three start times; 10am for 200 Medley Relay, 400 IM, 200 Freestyle, 100 Breaststroke, and 100 Backstroke - 1pm for Men's and Women's 1m and 3m diving – and 4pm for 1650 Freestyle, 100 IM, 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, and 400 Freestyle Relay. This will not be a scored meet.
 
USF will enter this meet after having taken down #24 Augustana 137-125 on January 14th. The Cougars, who are receiving votes in the DII CSCAA Polls, captured victories in 10 of the 16 events with multiple victories by Domenica Solano, Ilinde du Plessis, and Ursula Demarquet.
