Fayette, IA – The USF Women's Basketball team picked up the first NSIC win of the season in an OT victory over Upper Iowa on Friday.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Sioux Falls came away in the first quarter with a three point lead, the Peacocks took a three point advantage of their own for a 31-31 tie at the half.
• The Cougars forced Upper Iowa to 16 turnovers throughout tonight's match-up while picking up 14 points off of the Peacock's turnovers.
• USF turned the ball over 14 times on the evening and finished the night with 30 points in the paint.

SIOUX FALLS LEADERS

• Brecli Honner led Sioux Falls with 24 points on the night followed by Megan Fannin with 23 of her own.
• On the boards, Madison Wuebben led the way with eight rebound followed by Brecli Honner and Madison Birnbaum each with five apiece on the night.
• Olivia Gamoke led the Coo with 7 assists on the evening.

TEAM STATISTICS

• Sioux Falls shot 45.3% from the field tonight while shooting 42.1% from three point territory and 86.7% from the line.
• The Coo had 40 rebounds on the night, 13 points off turnovers, and picked up three 2nd chance points.

UP NEXT
Sioux Falls (4-6) will hit the road to take on Winona State tomorrow night. The Cougars will take on the Warriors on Saturday at 3:30.
