Henderson, NV - The University of Sioux Falls Men's Golf team holds 11th place after the first day of The Legacy Invitational. High winds upped the course difficulty and spiked the average course score to 83.23.
The Cougars began the second tournament of their spring break trip today at the Legacy Golf Club. High winds challenged all golfers and resulted in many higher than average scores across the board with no individual golfers under par. Despite the conditions, USF tied for the third most team birdies with eight. Anthony Cylkowski and Austin Boomsma tied for 2nd in par 3 scoring with even 3's.
USF shot a combined 44-over 332 which placed them in 11th, just one stroke out of 10th. The leaderboard ended up rather tight in the middle with the Cougars only four strokes out of 7th.
