Men's Golf closes spring break in 15th at Legacy Invitational

Henderson, NV - The University of Sioux Falls Men's Golf team finished their fourth day of golf this week with a 15th place finish at The Legacy Invitational. This concludes their spring break trip that also included the Warrior Invitational earlier this week.

 

The Cougars improved on their day 1 score by two strokes to finish with a team score of 330. In total they carded an 86-over 662 (332-330) and placed 15th beating out fellow NSIC squads Minot State, Augustana (B), and Concordia St. Paul (B).

Northeastern State took the team title with a 28-over 604 (305-299) followed by Westminster College - UT with a 32-over 608 (320-288). Carlos Gomez of Northeastern State claimed the individual title by shooting a four-under 140 (72-68). Yuki Bannai of Pomona-Pitzer placed second with a three-over 147 (77-70).

Day 2: Three-over 75, nine pars, birdies on the 453-yard hole 8 and 515-yard hole 17 and an eagle on the 501-yard hole 5

Overall: T72nd, 28-over 170 (80-90), 15 pars, 3 birdies 

Day 2: 18-over 90, six pars and a birdie on the 184-yard hole 2

 

Anthony Cylkowski 

Overall: 87th, 35-over 179 (92-87), 12 pars, 1 birdie

Day 2: 15-over 87, seven pars

 

Jimmy Clark

Overall: T77th, 27-over 171 (84-87), 13 pars, 2 birdies

Day 2: 5-over 87, seven pars

 

Bronson Vasa

Overall: T53rd, 19-over 163 (82-81), 17 pars, 4 birdies

Day 2: nine-over 81, eight pars and birdies on the 406-yard hole 1 and the 175-yard hole 10
