SIOUX FALLS – For the 2022 fall season, the home venue for the University of Sioux Falls Soccer Program will move to Bob Young Field, according to an announcement today by USF Director of Athletics
Pam Gohl.
In announcing the move, Gohl noted several factors played a role in the decision to move USF's location to Bob Young Field, which also is home to USF Football. The student-athletes will have improved access to athletic training facilities, closer proximity to locker rooms and changing areas, and shelter in case of inclement weather.
The Cougars, directed by eighth-year Head Coach
Brittany Domino, will open the 2022 season with a nonconference home match against Fort Hays State on Friday, August 26. At USF home soccer matches, fans will have an enhanced experience as witnessed with the Sioux Falls City Football Club (Women's Premier Soccer League) who are playing games at Bob Young Field this summer.
"We believe this will be a positive move for the USF Soccer Program. It will provide a new experience in a different venue. We think it will be a great experience for our student-athletes as well as the parents, family and USF supporters," said Gohl, who noted that press-level suites will be available to reserve during this upcoming season. Fans and supporters interested should contact USF Athletics at 605-331-6791 or
athletics@usiouxfalls.edu.
In addition, USF will be utilizing USF's electronic ticketing system which allows for fans to buy tickets online prior to the game or to pay in-person with cash and credit card options. For a full schedule of USF Soccer, please
