SIOUX FALLS  – University of Sioux Falls Athletic Director Pam Gohl announced the hiring of Madie Brink as the Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Athletic Communications.
"We are thrilled to have Madie Brink lead athletic communications at USF," says USF Director of Athletics, Pam Gohl. "Brink brings an array of experience and a passion for collegiate athletics to our campus. She is dedicated to telling the story of our USF student-athletes on social media, on USF's athletic website and through traditional media forms in the community of Sioux Falls."
A Pierre, South Dakota native, Brink brings over six years of collegiate athletic experience to USF Athletics. As a former softball player at Presentation College, Brink was able to transition into becoming the assistant softball coach of the Saints in 2019 while also serving as a student Sports Information Director until her graduation in December of 2020. Madie graduated from Presentation College with honors and a B.S. in Sport & Event Management with a minor in Coaching.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to join the Cougar family," Brink said. "I am grateful for the opportunity the University has given me and I look forward to working with the coaches and their programs to enhance the overall experience of our student-athletes through social media and other creative content outlets."
In June of 2022, Brink graduated from the University of Washington with her M.Ed. in Intercollegiate Athletic Leadership while working in the Sports Operations department and under legendary softball head coach Heather Tarr. Following graduation, Brink moved back to South Dakota where she re-joined the front office of a collegiate wood bat league team, the Pierre Trappers of the Expedition League, as their game-day Communications Coordinator during their 2022 season.
At the University of Sioux Falls, Brink will be responsible for assisting the USF Athletic Department enhance their image and brand; manage student-personnel and administrative staff; assist in athletic strategic planning; coordinate game day operations; and coordinate proper recordkeeping throughout Cougar Athletics.
