CROOKSTON – USF volleyball swept Minnesota Crookston today to advance to 9-4 on the season and 6th in the NSIC with a 5-1 conference record.
USF vs Crookston (25-14, 25-15, 25-11)
· Attack: USF outscored Crookston 75-40 with Courtney Holsteen landing 13 kills on the afternoon followed by Grace Hanel (12) and Sadie Voss (8)
· Service Line: Jordan Kuper, Elise Gillen and Davis Guetterman each had one ace on the day
· Team Effort: Sioux Falls was led by Elise Gillen with 29 assist followed by Davis Guetterman (7) and Caitlin Kellner (5). Keller and Voss also led USF with 12 digs on the day followed by Elise Gillen (9).
· Standing Tall: On the net, Jordan Kuper and Jordyn Hamm put down three blocks apiece followed by Grace Hanel with two
Overall
· USF led the day in all major categories with 56 points, 45 kills, 4 aces, 7 blocks, 42 assists and 45 digs
· Sioux Falls averaged a .323 attacking percentage over three sets while holding Crookston to a -.045 percentage
· The Cougars move to 12-1 against the Golden Eagles with their only loss coming in 2013.
