Sioux Falls, SD - USF Soccer falls to St. Cloud State by a score of 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
The Cougars kicked off on Sunday at 1 p.m. on a very windy day at Bob Young Field on Senior Day. USF's Holli Knudsen faced 16 shots in the first half of the match, with seven saves. The Huskies struck first in the 23rd minute on the foot of Gracie Parsons to take a 1-0 lead going into halftime.
As the 2nd half got underway, the Cougars countered the Huskies attack for a better half of the game but it was in the 68th minute that Jada Dachtler found the back of the net to make it 2-0 for SCSU. USF faced five corner kicks on the day and Senior Holli Knudsen faced seven second half shots for a total of 23 shots faced on the day with nine saves. The Cougars had six shots on the afternoon, led by Julia Kreutner with three, Aundria Vargas and Sarah Miller with two apiece, and Ellie Ripperda with one shot of her own.
