SIOUX FALLS – The University of Sioux Falls women's basketball team picked up a big, 49-44, win over Northern State tonight to advance to 5-12 on the season.
WHAT HAPPENED
· The Cougars started tonight's game strong and never looked back. USF held a lead for just under 34 minutes tonight with their largest lead of 14 points coming at the end of the first half.
· Following the half, the Wolves attempted their comeback but fell short as the Cougars sealed the lead with just under two minutes remaining.
SIOUX FALLS LEADERS
· Madison Wuebben and Lauren Sanders paved the way for USF tonight as they each landed 10 points against the Wolves.
· Wuebben pulled down eight of USFs 33 rebounds while Sanders pulled down six of her own and Olivia Gamoke with five.
· Wuebben also dished out four assists for the Cougars and had USFs only block of the game.
TEAM STATISTICS
· Sioux Falls went 18-48 from the field this evening and where led by Madison Wuebben and Riley Moreland. The Cougars also went 7-14 from beyond the arch and 6-10 from the line.
· The Cougars pulled down 33 rebounds on the night with 29 coming from the defensive side of the ball.
· USF saw 21 points come of their bench while picking up another 12 points off 12 NSU turnovers.

The Cougars host Minnesota State – Moorhead Saturday, January 14th at 3:30pm followed by the men's game at 5:30pm.
