SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The University of Sioux Falls Volleyball Team took on the University of Mary tonight coming away with a 3-1 victory advancing to 10-12 on the season and 6-7 in the NSIC.

The Cougars opened strong with a 25-18 set one victory after averaging a .294 attacking percentage and landing 12 kills behind Kyleigh Tangen and Sadie Voss each leading with three. Voss and Jordyn Hamm teamed up for the Cougars only block of the set.

USF continued their momentum into the second set to earn a 25-19 set win. Voss added five more kills followed by Courtney Holsteen with four, three by Jordan Kuper and Tangen and one tacked on by Hamm. The Coo put down two blocks throughout the set while holding the Marauders to just a .026 attacking percentage.

Sioux Falls dropped set three 25-14 after struggling offensively with 10 attacking errors on 34 attempts.

The Cougars responded with a 25-18 fourth set victory to seal the deal with Voss landing six kills in the final set. Elise Gillen and Kuper recorded two assisted blocks for the team while Kuper also recorded a solo block as well.

USF was led by Voss with 17 kills on the night followed by Tangen with 11 and Kuper with 10. Voss also added yet another double-double on the season leading the team with 15 digs tonight. Gillen dished out 43 assists while also leading the way with three assisted blocks along the side of Kuper and Hamm.

The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow afternoon, October 28, as they host Minot State at 2pm.
