SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Despite making a comeback in the third and fourth sets, USF fell to #6 St. Cloud State 3-2 in this afternoons NSIC matchup.
After falling 25-18 in the first set and 15-19 in the second, USF turned it around in the third finishing the set on a 7-4 run to defeat St. Cloud 25-23.
The Cougars picked up right where they left off to open the fourth set while holding the Huskies to a .094 attacking percentage and forcing 14 kills on 32 attacks to win 25-17.
St. Cloud State went on to win set five 15-13 but not without a fight from a tough Cougar Volleyball squad.
Sadie Voss and Jordan Kuper both landed double digit kills while Voss recorded 15 kills and 10 digs on the afternoon. Courtney Holsteen and Jordyn Hamm followed suit with nine kills of their own.
Elise Gillen matched her career high with 43 assists while landing three service aces on the Huskies.

The Cougars will head to Minnesota State on Thursday, October 12 to take on the Mavericks starting at 6pm. USF will return home next weekend to host Augustana in their Alumni Day match on Saturday, October 14 at 2pm.
