SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Following this past weekend's performances, USF Athletics is pleased to announce Zoe Adam as Female Athlete of the Week and Jagger Tyler as Male Athlete of the Week.

Adam was one of two place winners for USF Women's Wrestling this weekend at the Waldorf Open in Forest City, IA. She finished the day 4^th at 191-pounds. As wrestlers are only allowed to wrestle six matches in a day, Adam's 3^rd place match is considered a "No Match" as she finishes 5-1 on the day to improve to 7-3 on the season. Adam had five pins on the day, all under two minutes with her fastest one being just 0:18.

Tyler claimed his second consecutive 157-pound championship taking first this weekend at the Haws/Elton 4-Team Rumble hosted by Saint Johns University in Collegeville, Minn. Jagger opened round one with a 2:04 pin over Nicholas Akeny of Concordia-Moorhead followed by another pin in round two at 1:17 over Crown Htoo of Minnesota North-Itasca. Round three resulted in an 8-2 decision over teammate Lane Fink followed by a bye in round four. Tyler closed out the day 4-0 with a 15-5 major decision over Alexander McPhee of Concordia-Moorhead to move to 8-0 on the year.

MEMORABLE MOMENTS

·         Jayden Coulter also took home 1^st place this past weekend for USF Men's Wrestling. He went 3-0 with 3 pins with one of them coming in 0:26.

·         Daevon Vereen was another standout for Cougar Men's Wrestling. He recorded 3 pins and a decision to move to 5-2 on the year. He took home 1^st place at 184-pounds with a pin in just 0:34.

·         Rei Ogden was one of two place winners for Coo Women's Wrestling. She went 5-2 on the day with 3 pins and 2 forfeits, only wrestling 5 matches on the day. All 3 of her pins were in less than a minute with the quickest one being 0:29.

·         Jordan Kuper was dominant in Coo Volleyball's win over Winona State on Saturday. She had 20 kills to lead both teams and tallied 2 blocks and aces respectively. Jordan had a career high 6 digs and totaled 23 points vs. Winona.

·         Sadie Voss also had a big game against the Warriors of Winona. She had 17 kills to go along with 9 digs. She led USF in digs for the match.

·         Elise Gillen was a key piece for USF Volleyball in their win on Saturday. She had 55 assists and 8 digs for the game. She had 77 total assists over two matches this weekend.

·         Jordyn Hamm was perfect over the weekend in her attacking opportunities. She had 28 total attacks resulting in 15 kills and 0 errors. She hit over .500 in both matches, which led the team both times.
