SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - USF Men's Basketball head coach Chris Johnson announced the addition of three signees to join their 2024-25 roster earlier today.
"We are really excited about adding Eli, Jacoby and Brandon to the USF family." stated Head Coach Chris Johnson, "All 3 are proven winners and come from great programs."
Jacoby Mehrman, Guard, Harrisburg High School
Jacoby joins the Cougars from Harrisburg, South Dakota where he attended Harrisburg High School and also competed with the Sanford Sports Academy. For the Tigers, Jacoby averaged 15.4 points per game, 4.3 assists per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 2 steals per game. Over the course of his high school career, he was awarded All ESD Conference two times, All Metro Conference two times, All State Second Team, and All State Tournament Team. Son of Mason and Theresa Mehrman, Jacoby is undecided in his major this fall.
"Jacoby is a big point guard with a great feel for the game. He can score and help his teammates do so as well. Jacoby has a very bright future at USF."

Brandon Hrncir, Forward, Farmington High School
Brandon comes to USF from Farmington, Minnesota where he attended Farmington High School and also competed with Minnesota Fury. So far, Brandon has been awarded Academic Honor and made the Suburban All Conference. He is currently playing in his senior season for the Tigers. Son of Naomi and Bryan Hrncir, Brandon plans to study Business at USF.
"Brandon is a versatile 6-8 forward that can score from all 3 levels. He has great size and skill, and we think his best basketball is ahead of him. Brandon has the ability to play multiple positions for us."

Eli Ehrke, Guard, Glencoe-Silver Lake High School
Eli joins USF from Glencoe, Minnesota where he attended Glencoe-Silver Lake High School and also competed for Minnesota Fury. During his junior season, Eli averaged 21.9 points per game, 7.8 rebounds per game, 3.4 assists per game, and 2 steals per game. He also hit 1000 career points in his junior season. So far, he has been Wright County Academic All Conference and Basketball All Conference in his sophomore and junior seasons. Eli has also been selected as team captain for both his junior and senior seasons. Off the court, Eli is a National Honor Society Officer. Son of Dan and Kristal Ehrke, Eli plans on majoring in Business Administration at USF.
"Eli is a strong guard who can do a little bit of everything on the court. Eli is a tough, hard working, team first player who will fit great with our programs culture. We are excited that Eli chose the Coo."
