BURNSVILLE – The NSIC announced their weekly Athlete of the Week honors today with USF men's golfer Gavin Metz receiving this week's honors.

Metz and the Cougars opened their season this past weekend at the Hillcat Classic where he tied for fourth place out of 60 golfers. Metz finished two over par with round scores of 76, 72 and 70 (218). Throughout three rounds he recorded 12 birdies and 29 pars giving him his first top-5 finish of the season.
