Wayne, NE. – The University of Sioux Falls Baseball team split two games with Bemidji State today in Wayne. Game 1 went to the Beavers 4-1 and game 2 to the Cougars 13-11 in extra innings. This win marks career win #100 for Head Coach Grant Hieb.
WHAT HAPPENED
· USF trailed for the entirety of game 1 falling behind in the 4th inning.
· Game 2 took 12 innings and saw USF hold BSU to no runs after the 6th inning.
· Garrett Oswald threw 6 shutout innings out of the bullpen for the Cougars.
SIOUX FALLS LEADERS
· USF outhit Bemidji in game 1. Dane Small lead the way with 3 hits.
· In game 2, Dane Small, David Swanson, and Isaac Bonner each had 3 hits.
· Isaac Bonner led USF with 4 RBI.
UP NEXT
The Cougars will be back in action tomorrow Monday March 27. They take on Bemidji State again in a single game starting at 1PM. Games are again taking place in Wayne, NE.
