SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced their 2023 Division II Scholar-Athletes and All-Academic Teams last week with eight USF student-athletes making the list. This years honor represents the teams seventh in eight years and sixth under head coach Kevin Grebin.
For individuals, Sioux Falls was represented by Emily Brace, Jaylen Haler, Ella Hancock, Brianna Holm, Katelyn Nesheim, Sydney Osburn, Ellie Thie and Danielle Thorfinnson this season. In order to qualify for this honor, student-athletes must maintain a GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale throughout the academic year and listed on the institutional eligibility form. The above USF student-athletes represent just eight of 623 student-athletes to make this seasons list.
The team as a whole represents one of 97 programs to earn honors this season. In order to be eligible as a team, programs must maintain a team GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale, include all student-athletes on the institutional eligibility form and have all varsity letter winners factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year.
